This series within the Ralph E. MacKay Collection consists of 97 glass plate negatives by photographer F. H. Nowell, and digital print copies of those negatives. Subjects include Nome, Alaska, gold mines and mining in the vicinity of Nome and elsewhere on the Seward Peninsula, dog teams and teams of horses hauling freight and mail, and mining claim survey markers.
